Cheetah
From a high perch a cheetah spots prey with its keen eyesight. The cheetah hunts by day in the grasslands and brush of Africa and the mid-east. Stalking, the cheetah’s spotted coat helps it to blend with the grasses. Suddenly this fastest of land mammals dashes after its prey in a short burst at speeds of 60-70 mile per hour. After the kill the cheetah must catch its breath for up to half an hour before eating.
